A transforming nation

In a year overshadowed by the global coronavirus pandemic and the world’s response to the impact of the virus, one nation in particular had a slightly different focus. And that was Guyana.

Coronavirus didn’t exactly pass Guyana by (it’s had its fair share of deaths and infections), but there were even bigger fish to fry in South America’s only English-speaking country. The nation’s first oil exports got underway and further large discoveries during 2020 are set to transform this nation over the next decade.
